A pair of Balenciaga pants moved in Louis Boston in Feb. 05 as part of the spring/summer '05 collection. It was a pair of military green tapered skinny pants. The cut was not very forgiving and the $525 price pissed off a lot of buyers.
It was July, and the store put the pants along with other items on sale. It was 50% off the retail price, but there was no lady who loved them enough to hand over her credit card for them. The pants were sad.
A month later, the unfortunate pants were sent to Filene's Basement in Boston to give it the last try. A girl tried them on and they were not bad. However, she didn't want to pay $200 for a pair of cotton pants. Besides, she never wore green. She left, with the pants haunting her in her dreams for a couple of nights, and the pants missed her as well.
Time passed by. It turned to October. The girl hoped to get the pants to wear with her new tops for the fall. "That green should work with the gray scheme," thought the girl, entering Filene’s Basement. Going through racks of clothes coming from different department stores, the pants and the girl met again. The pants hugged the girls legs and didn't let her go. The girl handed over her credit card but she was informed that the pants stayed in the Basement for too long to be sold. Big disappointment!
But instead, the sales associate went on that the pants would be considered a "charitable donation". The girl never experienced this before, and she was excited but didn't know what to do. The pants were so anxious and worried. Guided by the sweet sales lady, the girl eventually wrote a fifty-dollar check to the American Cancer Society, and the pants went home with her.
That lucky girl happens to be me, and I am so happy with my pants and my donation.
Wow, what a great story. Talk about luck or fate or good karma. You must have been 'meant' to have those pants! Maybe they will become your lucky pants.
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend:-) I'm taking good care of my pants because they ARE my lucky pants :-)
